Full Itinerary (Example)

DAY 1:

  • Overnight flight from the UK to Sri Lanka and begin your journey.

DAY 2:

  • Arrive in Colombo before transferring to the accommodation.
  • Arrive at the Granbell Colombo Hotel (or similar) and check in.
  • Spend the rest of the morning at leisure, relaxing after your flight.
  • Enjoy the evening at leisure with dinner at the accommodation.

DAY 3:

  • Have breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Take to the pitch for a friendly fixture against a well-matched local team (MATCH DAY 1).
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Return to the accommodation for a relaxing evening.
  • Enjoy dinner at the accommodation and retire for the night.

DAY 4:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Spend the day touring Colombo City, shopping and taking in the city vibe.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Transfer back to the accommodation.
  • Spend the rest of the evening at leisure, enjoying dinner at the accommodation before retiring for the night.

DAY 5:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Take to the pitch for a friendly fixture against a well-matched local team (MATCH DAY 2).
  • Refuel with lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Return to the accommodation and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
  • Enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

DAY 6:

  • Have breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Spend the morning at leisure, with time for self-exploration.
  • Check out of the Granbell Colombo Hotel.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Transfer to the Cinnamon Citadel Hotel (or similar) for check-in.
  • Enjoy dinner at the accommodation.
  • Have a relaxing evening.

DAY 7:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation before preparing for a guided excursion around the city of Kandy.
  • Transfer to the Kandy Sacred Tooth Relic Temple for a visit.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Transfer back to the accommodation.
  • Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying dinner and relaxing at the hotel.

DAY 8:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Visit the stunning Peradeniya Botanical Garden.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Take to the pitch for a friendly fixture against a well-matched local team (MATCH DAY 3).
  • Return to the accommodation for a relaxing evening, enjoying dinner before retiring for the night.

DAY 9:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation before checking out.
  • Transfer to Hikkaduwa, visiting the Spice Gardens in Mawanella en route and the Pinnawala Elephant Sanctuary.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Check in to Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon in Hikkaduwa.
  • Have dinner at the accommodation.

DAY 10:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Transfer to visit Galle Dutch Fort with a tour guide, spending the day shopping and touring the city.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Return to the accommodation, have dinner and retire for a relaxing evening.

DAY 11:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation.
  • Spend the day exploring the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
  • Have lunch during the excursion.
  • Return to the accommodation for dinner and a well-earned rest.

DAY 12:

  • Check out of the accommodation.
  • Transfer to the airport for an early morning departure from Colombo to the UK.
